Ria Czerniak is a musician and visual artist living in Dublin. Ria began playing guitar and writing songs as a teenager before going on to record and release EP Cherry on my Sundae and later her debut album Souvenir in 2012. With collaborator Maurice Czerniak, Ria has gigged extensively over the last decade, performing original material as well as repertoire ranging from jazz and soul to folk.
As a visual artist Ria works, for the most part, in copper plate etching, photography and drawing. She received a BA Hons from NCAD in Fine Art Print and History of Art in 2016. Her work has been shown at The RHA, St. Patrick’s Hospital, Halftone Print Fair, The Printmaker’s Gallery, Graphic Studio Gallery, Steambox, The Joinery, Courthouse Arts Centre, The Back Loft and The National College of Art and Design. She was the recipient of Graduate Awards from both Graphic Studio Dublin and Black Church Print Studios, Dublin, upon leaving NCAD.
